A level 300 student of Sociology, Osei Yvonne Adobea has been elected as the first female President of the Students Representative Council of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST-SRC)

Yvonne Osei Adobea and Baaba Mills Elected As the New KNUST SRC President and Secretary respectively. Yvonne Osei Adobea, a student in Level 300 at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has been chosen by her peers to lead the SRC for the academic year 2023–2024. Yvonne Osei Adobea has won the election to become the first female President of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Students’ Representative Council (KNUST-SRC).
With this victory, Yvonne Osei Adobea will succeed Frank Owusu. Yvonne Osei Adobea faced off against five candidates in the presidential race and received a total of 8282 votes representing 37.37%.
Yvonne Osei Addobea announced his intention to run for president last year but fell short against Frank Owusu. Yvonne Osei Adobea will now be under pressure to keep his lofty commitments to KNUST students, notably in the area of off-campus security.
Congratulations to Baaba Mills Christabel, another candidate who contested last year and lost. Baaba Mills Christabel won with a total vote of 10,721 to become the KNUST SRC General Secretary-Elect
