Candidates must have Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering and related science disciplines with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division).
vi. MPhil. Polymer Science and Technology
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering and related science disciplines with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division).

vii. PhD. Chemistry
Candidates must have an MSc/MPhil degree or its equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/ Engineering, and any science disciplines

Department of Physics

i. MPhil. Geophysics
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Physics, Geology and related disciplines, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics from a recognised university.
ii. MPhil. Environmental Physics
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Physics, Meteorology and Climate Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Chemistry from a recognised university.
iii. MPhil. Solid State Physics
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Physics, Materials Engineering or Engineering Physics from a recognised university.
iv. MPhil. Materials Science
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Physics, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering from a recognised university.
v. MPhil. Nuclear Science and Technology
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Physics, or Physics with Biomedical Physics from a recognised university.
vi. MPhil. Mathematical and Computational Physics
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Physics, Meteorology and Climate Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or Mathematics from a recognised university.
vii. PhD. Geophysics
Candidates must have an MPhil degree in Geophysics, Geology with Geophysics or Geosciences related fields with specialisation in Geophysics from a recognised university.
viii. PhD. Environmental Physics
Candidates must have an MPhil degree in Physics, Meteorology and Climate Science, Mathematics, or Chemistry from a recognised university.
ix. PhD. Solid State Physics
Candidates must have an MPhil degree in Solid State Physics, Materials Science, or Physics with specialisation in Physics Materials or Solid State from a recognised university.
x. PhD. Materials Science
Candidates must have an MPhil degree in Solid State Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Geophysics, or Physics with specialisation in Physics Materials or Solid State from a recognised university.
xi. PhD. Nuclear Science and Technology
Candidates must have an MSc/MPhil. degree in Physics, MPhil. Degree in Applied Physics, Nuclear Physics, Applied Nuclear Physics, or Biomedical Physics from a recognised university.
xii. PhD. Mathematical and Computational Physics
Candidates must have an MPhil. degree in Solid State Physics, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, Geophysics, Applied Physics, Nuclear Physics, Applied Nuclear Physics, Meteorology and Climate Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Environmental Physics from a recognised university.

Department of Meteorology and Climate Science

MPhil. Meteorology and Climate Science
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Meteorology and Climate Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, from a recognised university or Geography plus World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) diploma in meteorology and at least three (3) years work experience with a meteorology and climate science agency.

PhD. Meteorology and Climate Science

Candidates must have an MPhil degree in Meteorology and Climate Science, Environmental Physics or Atmospheric Physics from a recognised university.

Department of Mathematics

i. MPhil. Pure Mathematics
ii. MPhil. Applied Mathematics

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Mathematics, Statistics/Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or any of the Engineering disciplines from a recognised university. Depending on the degree sought, candidates should have adequate knowledge of analysis, algebra, topology, differential equations, numerical analysis, quantum mechanics, special relativity, and scientific computing. Candidates shall be required to pass a selection.
iii. PhD. Pure Mathematics
iv. PhD. Applied Mathematics

Candidates must have an MPhil degree in Pure/Applied Mathematics, Scientific Computing and Industrial Modelling, Computer Science or related with minimum of 60 CWA. Candidates must submit a research proposal (about 6-8 pages, double spacing). Candidates shall be required to pass a selection interview.

Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science

i. MPhil. Actuarial Science
ii. MPhil. Mathematical Statistics

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
iii. PhD Actuarial Science
iv. PhD Mathematical Statistics

Candidates must hold an MPhil degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science with a strong research background and must independently be able to carry out original scientific research. Qualified applicants will be interviewed.

Department of Computer Science

i. MSc. Computer Science
ii. MPhil. Computer Science

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) from an accredited university in any of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Networking/Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science with Mathematics, Computer Forensics, Computer Technology, Computer Gaming, Computer Security.

Candidates must demonstrate that they are familiar with at least one programming language (i.e., C, C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript)
iii. MSc. Cyber Security and Digital Forensics
iv. MPhil. Cyber Security and Digital Forensics
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) from an accredited university preferabily in Physical Sciences or Engineering disciplines.

v. MSc. Information Technology
vi. MPhil. Information Technology

Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)) from an accredited university in any of the following areas: Information Tedchnology, Information, Communication and Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Networking/Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science with Mathematics, Computer Forensics, Computer Technology, Computer Gaming, Computer Security. In exceptional cases, candidates found to have weak background in any course, essspecially in programming, may be required to take extra courses as may be deemed necessary.
vii. PhD. Computer Science
Candidates must have a master’s degree (MSc/MPhil) from an accredited university in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Network/Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science with Mathematics, Computer Technology, Computer Security, Computer Forensics or Computer Gaming.
viii. PhD. Information Technology
Candidates must have a master’s degree (MSc/MPhil) from an accredited university in either Information Technology, Information, Communication and Technolgy, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Network/Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science with Mathematics, Computer Technology, Computer Security, Computer Forensics, Computer Gaming.
